Artist: Ansel Adams
- Brief Biography.
He was born in San Francisco, California 20 de febrero de 1902 and he died 22 de abril de 1984 was an American photographer, known for be a landscape photographer and environmentalist known for his black-and-white images of the American West. He and developed an exacting system of image-making called the Zone System.
- Chronology and themes.
He started his carrer in 1921 when he posted their first photos. In 1930’, Adams' work matured and became more established, the 1930s was a particularly experimental and productive time for him. In 1940’, Adams created A Pageant of Photography, the largest and most important photographic show in the West to date, which was attended by millions of visitors and fianlly in 1950’, Adams was one of the founders of Aperture magazine. Adams published his fourth portfolio, What Majestic Word, in 1963. Later career, by the 1960s, Adams was suffering from gout and arthritis, and hoped that moving to a new home would make him feel better.
He used the Zone System, it´s a method of achieving a desired final print through a deeply technical understanding of how tonal range is recorded and developed in exposure, negative development, and printing.

He won one only award that it was Presidential Medal of Freedom
